Set multiple tasks at once
Say a trade fair leaves you with 34 prospects to call. Adding the same task to each company by hand takes most of an afternoon, and if all 34 calls land on Monday, Monday is gone and the rest of the week is empty. In Bamya CRM one window gives every ticked company the task and spreads the due dates over the days you pick.
How it works
- On CRM > Companies, tick the companies. The box at the top ticks the whole page.
- Press Apply on selected and choose Add a task. New task or reminder opens for all the ticked rows.
- Name the task, then press Add due date.
- Choose Spread over a period. Click the first and the last day, and tick the days of the week the tasks may fall on (Monday to Friday to begin with). The window shows how many tasks fall on each day.
- Press Preview dates to see every company with its date, then OK.
- Press See what will happen, read it, and press Apply.
What you get
One task per company, shared out as evenly as the number allows over the days you ticked. The companies take the days in the order of the list, so the top rows get the first days. Thirty-four calls over one working week comes to six or seven a day.
Nothing changes before Apply. What will happen tells you how many tasks will be created and on how many days, shows the due dates of the first rows, and names any rows left alone and why. Once you apply, the window stays open until it says what was done, and Undo is right there if you got something wrong.
The task can be anything New task or reminder makes: a plain task, a reminder, an event, or a communication with its draft. An event keeps its time on every day.
Good to know
With ten companies or fewer, the window works a little differently. Each row gets its own date box, and Apply to all copies the date at the top to every row. Over ten, you choose between All on one date and Spread over a period.
The ticks cover only the page you are on, and changing tab or page clears them.
If your organisation has it switched on, the AI assistant can prepare the same kind of change from a plain sentence, such as "Add a task to call these companies on Friday". It shows what will happen and waits for your click on Apply.
