Snap a business card
A business card holds everything you need to follow up: a name, a role, an e-mail, a phone number. Typing it into a CRM is the part people put off, and a card that sits in a drawer for a week usually means a contact lost. In Bamya CRM, AI reads a picture of the card and fills in the person and the company they work at. What is left for you is the checking.
How it works
- On a computer, press Add on the CRM's lists. The Add to the CRM window opens.
- Go to the Picture tab and put the card in the box. You can click the box to choose a file, drop the file on it, or paste a copied picture with Ctrl+V (Command+V on a Mac). There is a second box for another picture, such as the back of the card.
- If something worth keeping is not on the card, where you met for instance, write it under Anything else.
- Press Read with AI. The CRM fills in the Manual tab and opens it.
- Check what was read, press Add to CRM, then choose Open company details or Open contact details.
What you get
A company in your CRM, with the person as its primary contact. Every box the AI filled is marked, so you can see straight away what needs a look.
The AI writes down only what the card states, and as it is written. A Cyrillic name stays Cyrillic, and nothing is translated or guessed. A named e-mail, or a mobile number beside the person's name, goes to the person; info@ and office@ addresses and a switchboard number go to the company. Role is the job title at the company.
Before anything is added, the CRM checks the card against the companies and people you already hold. Anything that looks the same is shown under Possibly already here. When the match is sure, such as the same e-mail, the existing record is chosen for you, and the new e-mails and phones go beside the old ones instead of replacing them. When it is only a maybe, it says why, and you decide.
Good to know
It does not have to be a business card. A letterhead or a screenshot works just as well, as long as it names a company and the person you deal with there.
The AI never sets Categories, the State or the Owner, because those are your decisions. Pictures are read once and not kept. Reading them uses your organisation's AI credits, and if the credits run out, the Manual tab still works by hand.
