Paste a LinkedIn profile

· Video, 0:26

For a lot of small businesses, LinkedIn is where the next customer turns up. Copying a profile into a CRM box by box takes a few minutes per person and invites typos, so it often does not happen, and the contact lives in an open browser tab until the tab is closed. In Bamya CRM you copy the whole profile page, paste it in, and AI fills in the record.

How it works

  • Open the person's LinkedIn profile. Select the page with Ctrl+A and copy it with Ctrl+C (Command+A and Command+C on a Mac).
  • In the CRM, press Add and choose the Paste tab.
  • Paste the page into the box and press Import with AI.
  • The CRM fills in the Manual tab and opens it, with every box the AI filled marked. Check them.
  • Press Add to CRM, then choose which card to open.

What you get

The person, with their name, role and LinkedIn address, linked to the company they work at now. The company gets its LinkedIn page as well. The AI takes it from the link on the company's name or logo and saves it as a plain address, without LinkedIn's tracking.

Role means the job title at the company, such as Head of Marketing. The headline people write about themselves is left out. Their Notes get a short summary of what they do at the company, not where they live or studied. And the AI reads only the person the page is about, so posts, suggested profiles and the messaging panel are ignored.

Before adding, the CRM checks what you already hold. The same e-mail, the same LinkedIn profile, or the same name at the same company is a sure match: the existing person is chosen for you and nobody is added twice. A weaker match, only the same name for example, is marked "maybe" with the reason, and the choice is yours. Names are compared however they are written, which matters here: "Иван Петров" finds "Ivan Petrov".

Good to know

If the page shows anything private, select just the profile rather than the whole page. Paste is not only for LinkedIn either. An e-mail signature or a few typed lines go through the same Import with AI.

The AI never chooses Categories, the State or the Owner. You set those.
